Crowns

Which crown for me?

What is a crown?

Where a tooth has become decayed or broken it is sometimes possible to provide a crown or gap to replace the defective area thus restoring the appearance and function of the natural tooth.

Metal Based
Non Precious / Porcelain Non-precious base metal (used fro most NHS crowns and bridges) may cause some grey discolouration over a period of time to the gum and around the crown.

Platinumum Alloy / Porcelain Platinum/Gold Alloy (Tradename Ultra 45) is a white alloy that gives better vitality to the ceramic and has good tissue reaction.

Yellow Gold (Tradename BioGold 75AU) gives a warm internal natural
effect to the crown which can give an extra opalescence and natural
appearance.
